Here is a small batch of Lana paintings! I used my wife's ideas for the colors. Actually I used the same three colors on all four paintings. Still there is a different flavor for each work. Nate and Lindsay get first choice. Below is one work before any color was added.
I'm slowly getting started again in my cellar "studio." A friend has commissioned an alphabet painting for a baby named Evan. And of course I'm busy on some paintings for little Lana! I'll post them when they're finished. Speaking of whom, here she is with me! (that's a Grandpa hat on me)
Lana Gabrielle Bozzo was born this afternoon at 1:06. She is a healthy and big girl. Mom Lindsay is doing amazingly well. Below Lindsay watches Grandma Mugge hold Lana about two hours after her birth. Below is Lana's first portrait. She is freshly scrubbed and her hair is combed. Mugge took this photo. Lana's big brother Corey was dressed with a tie when Mimi and Grampa brought him to see his little sister. He wanted to make a great impression! We are all happy and thankful that Lana has made it safely into our world.
Here is my latest attempt to illustrate the quote of the week for the ABC challenge. As usual you can see the many solutions to this quote on the James Gurney's Art Blog which is linked here in the right column - "I was thankful I had brought goggles when the quick deadly dust storms came boiling up."
