Absolutely beautiful work Paul ! I feel inspired to try this technique and have viewed your videos on Youtube. May I inquire how I would add a small magazine photo to the sheet rock ? Would I press it on the same way as you put your puzzle pieces on and should I moisten it ? Any assistance would be appreciated as this is my first attempt at trying any kind of art period and I'd like to do it properly. THank you ! Emma

Hi Emma - I would paint like two coats of polymer medium on the magazine photo - front and back - and then press it into the plaster after it is thoroughly dry. I've done that a few times and it's been successful. When I've use photographs, I follow the same procedure. Bood-luck.

Hello again Paul: Not to be a pest but forgot to ask you more more thing. I have a beautiful crochet doily I want to use in my piece and wondered how do you clean them afterwards ? Do you place them in water immediately after making the imprint and then rinse thoroughly with water or do you suggest some other method ? Thanks again and this should be it - I hope !

I'm sure that the "joint compound plaster" will wash out anytime (even after it might dry) - but I only use doilies that my wife doesn't want! So no washing for me.

Much appreciated Paul - I'd like to use the doily over again of course and wanted to make sure water was the way to go. Have all the info I need now and off to experiment !

I saw your videos on youtube and I love your art. Very interesting to know that the crochet can serve like a stencil. Thanks
